federal economic development agency for northern ontario – green economy north expansion

A FedNor investment of $774,177 provided to reThink Green allowed the expansion of our Green Economy North initiative across Northeastern Ontario. A program designed aid businesses, not-for-profits, and other public sector agencies to enhance productivity and reduce their carbon footprint. Helping businesses and start-ups improve their operations, and reduce operational costs in areas related to greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption and waste reduction.

federation of canadian municipalities – municipalities for climate innovation program

This project created Regional Energy and Emissions Plans (REEPs) for Manitoulin Island and the North Shore Region. These plans bring together hard data, our technical expertise as well as input from citizens and community leaders about their values and priorities.

celebrate ontario – reconnect festival and events program

This grant funded the equipment, resources and staff time to convert the Earth Festival to an online event.

nserc – college covid-19 grants

This was a research project in partnership with College Boreal with the goal of understanding the impact and mitigation strategies of the COVID-19 outbreak on the agricultural sector in Northeastern Ontario.

northern ontario heritage fund corporation – workforce development stream

This funding subsidized two positions: Digital Communications Officer and Environmental Sustainability Intern.
