• EarthFest/Grow Together Fest hosted in partnership with the Northern Ontario Railway & Heritage Museum, expanding our reach into Capreol.
• First year of Smart Commute Sudbury in full operation, bringing accessible and sustainable transportation options to Sudbury businesses.
• First summer championing the Flour Mill Community Farm in the Ryan Heights Neighbourhood of Sudbury, making fresh produce and youth employment opportunities more accessible to the surrounding community.
• First events waste audit – Sudbury RibFest!
• first project outside of Sudbury, Next Economy North Bay, a grassroots collective of local business and community leaders who are seeking to build capacity
• Green Economy North joins reThink Green to support Sudbury organizations in their journey towards net-zero operations and green networking.
• First Green Town Hall hosted to go along with Greater Sudbury Municipal Elections.
• Created Northern Ontario’s first environmentally focused meeting and coworking space, The Forge
• First program championed by reThink Green – SUN Co-op, which supports non-profit solar projects.
• We change our name, from the Greater Sudbury Environmental Network to reThink Green!
• The Environmental Resource Centre is launched as a physical space and resource hub for environmental groups.
•First ever Earth Festival is hosted.
• Soon after, we incorporate as the Greater Sudbury Environmental Network!
